| I've updated the points scoring process to match the chart I posted earlier. I used the average weights for each species as posted by the MN DNR - I'll update the site later with that information (but for bass and northern, the average is 2.5 pounds). So Cliff, you get 0 points for your walleye, but you got a boost in points because your Northern were larger than the average... | |

| Went to Green Lake for a bit this morning. Caught about 20 small bass, some crappie around 9 inches, and two small northerns that I posted. Water was really clear, probably 8 feet of visability even with the clouds. They were hitting really well first thing in the morning, but shut down around 10:00. | |

| Had my first battle with a Musky this weekend on Bald Eagle on Sunday. I must say it was insane. I think he must have been a 42-45" beast. He jumped out of the water and then swam about 100 yards away from the boat my drag was only set around 8-10lb. (I was fishing for bass on my little open face 8lb line reel). Just as the line was about to completely unwind he got off. I had him on the line for about 1 minute, that seemed like an eternity. I was dropping a lot of F bombs needless to say. | |

| I've got some bad news. I accidently deleted the entire database about an hour ago by inadvertantly clicking the mouse to bring my computer out of 'sleep' (I partly blame it on my host - you should not be able to do that with one click). I lost everything from user accounts to the blog to the fish logging. The good news is that I had backed up the fish logging on 8/1. The blog and polls were last backed up on 6/30 so we've lost a little more data there. I hope you can remember the fish you logged last week - let me know if you run into any problems. | |

| Planning on going up to Mille Lacs on friday with Justin. If its to windy we'll hit Eagle or Forest. Saturday depends on how friday goes. How about adding some sort of scale which keeps track of what fish are caught on. Like 16 fish on spinners and 20 on texas rig ect... | I went to White Bear Lake this weekend and found a hot spot underneath a bridge near the public boat launch. Some really nice bass, sunny's, and my wife hauled in a 17.5" pike from there too. One guy fishing from shore said he was hauling in walleye too. | |

| Hello guys just wanted to let you all know the fish are kinda going crazy over on Eagle lake in Hennipen cty. Just off Hwy 169. Its a small enough lake for a conoe or little boat. The only problem is there is no parking at the launch. You have to park down the street to the right. | |
